don't upgrade your palace, I strongly doubt it could pay for itself in this level destroying all guild houses gives you a nice surprise bonus each trading post you uncover in exploration becomes your own in subquest you can make 15000 gold escorting a caravan. each guild house you destroy nets you 5000 gold. Key things which may help you in this mission YOu need to get exploring units out ASAP, uncovering the map In this mission, you don't have the luxury of time. On previous maps, you could dig in and build up base first, explore later when you have strong parties. ![]() This was the first level my ass was handed to me also. The Lich King will be saved for last, because it's the worst this game has to offer.Hi. Will probbably do Mortal Foibles of Kings (rat king), Bloody Offenses (vampires), Pretenders to the Throne, and Return of the King at the same time. Next up - The Second last boss (Imp advisor) DOES NOT react to wizard tower's being built on top of him in testing so you can kill the dark portal that respawn the elementals with lighting storm, then remove any elementals with the helia spell. My newest idea is to actually build a cleric's guild to the LEFT of the dwarf buildings (where it cannot be raided) to ensure they are low level enough to respond to flags instantly and not have long travel time. The challenge of this level is 1 - convincing the Dwarves to buy upgrades (especially resist magic) 2 : microing healers to heal dwarves attacking the tower while not being in it's aggro range themselves. ![]() Life and death, (I believe a really low-level defense is possible against the Agrela healers)Įternal Love (theory is that priestess of krypta can achieve infinte-self-sustain on skeleton king during his wander phase and will never flee)Īdapting - Blademasters ONLY get the knockback immunity if you recruit themm BEFORE you get a level 10 warrior, and warriors promoted to blademaster will LOSE the skill if they already have it.Ģ Rogue, 1 ranger, 1 Dwarf 6/7 agrela portals went down quickly but last one stalled me a little. Pretty happy with memorization - only use 1 ranger, 2 rogue guilds - rush at the rogue guilds and get the free income from the first 3 outposts, then go to top right corner last since the heroes are "leveled" (4-6) and will kill the initial attack. Great Towers - 24 days (possible improvement )ġ guard tower with a ranger's guild right above it "somehow" stops the skeleton swarm - no clerics used, just warrior / thief to kill the miotaur and the bear den on top of the outpost - then I just defense flagged the towers - The inability to turn off buildings (eg palace) on the repair queue probbably slowed me down - might be worthwhile to even take the time to kill the skeleton lairs just because they kept peeling the peasants off of the tower and back to town. This is a Majesty 1 style yolo- I build cleric/warrior/ thief guard on top of northernmost guild, > first guy aggros the 7 original demons > 2nd thief > big flag on castle AND defense flag on warrior most likely to stay there so that clerics will definatey stay with the group, this generally prevents the demons from "refilling" that attack flag aggro would cause compared to defense flag aggro. Just knocking the easy stuff out of the wayĮngines of Commerce - 17 days (needs improvement)
